Self employment began in 2010 with the creation of a graphic design and event planning company called Cambridge Event and Design. Nichole ran this sole proprietorship out of her home office while raising three young kids as a single mom. An opportunity arose, and Nichole purchased existing company Great Big Graphics in 2012. She's since closed Cambridge Event and Design. She owns Great Big Graphics, but also works daily as the primary sales-person, scheduler, marketer, purchaser, and bookkeeper. She knows the workday never really ends when you own a business, mainly because her workday still hasn’t ended since it began in 2010.In 2020 Nichole and her little brother, Matt Schoop, partnered to create property management company Strange Bird Properties. This company began with a single, high-end residential property that has served as a long term rental consistently since its inception. The plan is to purchase and/or develop additional residential and commercial properties as feasible.In 2022, Nichole and her brother began the transition of taking over their father's company, a petroleum electrical firm originally named Schoop Electric Company, and now named SEC, Inc. 2024 marks the official transition between original company and new ownership, with January 2025 marking the culmination of the take-over. SEC, Inc serves Vermont, New York and New Hampshire in the capacity of electrifying, retrofitting and maintaining gas stations and petroleum product fill stations.As a business owner, wife, mother of six, zookeeper, ringmaster, and homeowner, she’s all too aware of the importance of offering convenience and a full-service experience to her clients, regardless of industry. Nichole lives in Morristown with her hubby, the kids, some cats, a snake, and several chickens. Her hobbies include gardening for food, canning, freeze-drying and food preservation, baking, and general prepping. She thoroughly enjoys every moment spent home with family, as rare as those moments lately are. Future plans involve developing a self-sustaining homestead where she and her husband and grown children can co-habitate amongst many acres and several residences and spend their future living off the land.
