Case Management• Auditing case management files based on Compliance Officer’s training• Handling files for case management including creating new files for new clients, closing out former client files, creating documentation for existing client files, updating forms with current client information and program progressionCounseling• Direct contact with clients aged 12-15 years of age placed in residential substance abuse treatment through the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)• Building rapport with clients and staff to facilitate therapeutic communication• Handling files for the counseling team in accordance with DJJ compliance including creating new files, updating files, obtaining client signatures for group sessions, etc.• Facilitating group counseling sessions under supervision in substance abuse, life skills training, and various other topics.• Creating interesting group sessions by thinking creatively about what clients need and accessing community resources• Writing group summaries and reports for group counseling sessionsOther Skills Utilized• Utilizing community resources to obtain sports equipment, clothing, and other donations for the clients• Interacting with client families via phone or in person during BGTH events• Addressing requests from case management and counselors for assistance in various office related tasks such as copying, sending out mail, etc.• Ability to handle multiple requests at once regarding various case management, counselor, and client needs
