Responsible for managing the administrative operations, procedures, and payroll of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care Services departments.Communicate with professional organizations as well as act as the key Cardiovascular and Critical Care Services liaison for internal and external departmental divisions within the organization. Prepare clinical and administrative budgets, including general fund and or foundation budgets in consultation with the VP of the Heart Center. Develop and write new program proposals as necessary in consultation with leadership staff as well as proposals to improve cost-effectiveness in utilization of supplies, equipment, and personnel.Serve and staff several hospital committees, including the Cardiovascular & Critical Care Policy and Practice Committee, Cardiovascular Novel Operations Committee, Integrated Schedule IT Project Committee, etc.Responsible for organizing the philanthropy event for the Friends of Aldo Castaneda Foundation that raises dollars for the treatment of children with congenital heart defects in Guatemala and Central America (creative marketing, cultivation of donors, and event logistics – raising $170K in 60 days).Responsible for creative marketing, event logistics, and program development for the annual Cardiovascular and Critical Care Nursing Science Innovation Forum as well as other annual departmental conferences.
