About Kim Nicholson

I am a Portfolio/PMO Manager with the Manager of Portfolios (MoP) Practitioner certification and 7 years Portfolio/PMO management experience. My previous roles as Portfolio Manager have allowed me to work with Senior Management/Executives to understand business objectives and key drivers to determine the strategy of the portfolio and ensure projects are delivered to meet business priorities and ensuring value is achieved. My key responsibilities have included developing the Portfolio Management Framework and Strategy, the Portfolio Delivery & Resource plans, Portfolio level RAID logs, and the development and delivery of dashboard reporting. I have also been responsible for the direct management of a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts/Testers and Architects where I have mentored and ensured the development of these resources.I have been involved in the establishment and running of Project Management offices where I have used Prince2 and/or PMBOK methodologies, or I have developed bespoke Project Methodology and Framework to meet specific business needs. I have been in the Project Management profession for over 17 years and have gained Project Management Professional (PMP) with both PMI/PMBOK and PRINCE2 Certifications.
