As a motivated and detail-oriented student pursuing a B.S. in Product Design and Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I have gained valuable experience in technical skills such as CAD software, 3D texturing, and Microsoft and Google Suites. I have worked on several projects that have allowed me to showcase my skills, such as the Whistling Kettle Iced Tea Press, where I developed a working relationship with a local company and designed a high-fidelity model of the iced tea press using Rhino and Siemens NX. Another project I worked on was developing a Play Therapy Felt Board, where I collaborated with a 3-person team and a certified play therapist to develop therapy tools for children experiencing PTSD.I have also gained practical work experience as an Estimating Intern at PJ Mechanical, where I studied mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and electrical drawings and led estimating work for certain jobs for the company. Furthermore, I have been involved in extracurricular activities such as the Black Student Association and the National Society of Black Engineers, where I have helped bridge different communities and managed group activities for over 100 members.I have shown my commitment to academic excellence and diversity in my field. I am a dedicated and driven individual with a passion for product design and mechanical engineering, and I look forward to applying my skills and experience to future projects and opportunities.
