I have worked in UK and European investment banking roles for the last 25 years, most recently aggressively growing and managing a Corporate Broking and UK Investment Banking team of 15 people at Stifel between 2020-2024. I take an analytical approach to managing client work, focusing on the financial aspects / CFO view of a client’s business given my background as a qualified ACA. I have a fluency in buy-side and sell-side M&A and in ECM (IPOs and follow-ons) related transactional work, particularly in the technology sector. I have extensive experience in dealing directly with institutional investors in UK equities, both in the context of transaction-related work and day-to-day broking relationships. I have significant experience in providing strategic advice at Board level, developing close and trusted working relationships with Executive and Non-executive directors in both transaction and day-to-day related matters. My life-long passion outside work and family has always been tennis. I played the professional ATP tennis tour between 1990-1992 and am the Captain of the Great Britain Over 50s Men’s tennis team, having reached a high of number 11 in the Seniors World Rankings for singles in 2024. I take a close interest in UK and international developments in tennis, am a Director of two not-for-profit tennis bodies (leading the Finance function for one of those), and am a member of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon.
