I have worked as a middle school intervention specialist in Mass. & Ohio. During my tenure I have worked with my students in a self-contained unit, resource room and an inclusion setting.Keeping parents informed in their child's education & their overall development is important to me. As a result I created a web page for both my students & their families.Goals:I earned my Master's and will have my CIPD certificate in the spring of 2014. After my teaching career is over, I would like to work as a special education supervisor and eventually special education director. I have also enjoyed my experiences assisting our high school athletic director & would like to pursue an athletic directors position.Accomplishments:As special education co department chair I implemented an inclusion program for our middle school, which has spread throughout our district. I also researched & used federal stimulus money to buy promethium boards so that both regular and special education students could utilize and benefit from the multi-modality approach to learning accompanied with these smart boards.
