As Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Nick was responsible for executing on Duke Realty's acquisition and disposition activity, as well as the overall management of its joint venture business. He has been involved in more than $20 billion of capital transactions over his career.Notable transactions include the following:• $1 billion flex portfolio sale in 2005• $700 million joint venture with Eaton Vance in 2006• $1 billion joint venture with Chambers Street Properties in 2008• $450 million Premier portfolio acquisition in 2010• $1 billion suburban office portfolio sale to Blackstone in 2011• $1 billion suburban office portfolio sale to Starwood in 2015• Monetization of a $3 billion medical office portfolio and platform in 2017• $800 million Bridge portfolio acquisition in 2017• $700 million Amazon joint venture with CBRE Investors in 2021Nick also served on Duke Realty’s Executive, Investment and Operating Committees and was a key team member responsible for the creation and implementation of a strategic shift from a high-leveraged, multiple product type REIT to the largest pure play domestic only industrial REIT. Over the last decade of his career, Duke Realty achieved a total return of over 500% which ranks it 2nd amongst over 160 REITs in the sector. Previously as Vice President of Portfolio Management, Nick was responsible for the overall management of the Dugan joint venture, a $1 billion industrial portfolio between J.P. Morgan and Duke Realty. He began his career with Duke Realty in 1989 as a Staff Accountant.
