A career spanning more than 40 years mainly in the wonderful Beer Industry. I’ve been given fantastic opportunities that I’ve embraced and enjoyed and met great people along the way - some of those inspirational people were colleagues , some suppliers, some customers and some competitors- many remain friends today. Having started working in a warehouse, FLT driver, then transport manager I’ve learned lots about moving goods at many levels.6Opportunities to set up a van sales operation gave an introduction to sales that later allowed for great experience to be gained with Rowntree Mackintosh and Coca Cola Schweppes at Territory rep level and then Account management with Molson Brewers of Canada and MarstonsThe latter gave opportunity to step into marketing and purchasing leading to becoming Head of Marketing and purchasing with Enterprise Inns for 5 years - a great team and exciting times where we achieved lots in a very changing time.With a passion for Beer, Pubs , Brewing and people I most recently enjoyed 15 years with Everards - A fabulous family business with great people that I was part of the executive team that led a significant change in a family business. I retired Christmas 2021 and now enjoy working on some specific projects for businesses that I respect and admire These include Batemans where I’m a NED, a great opportunity for me to engage in creating strategies and sharing operational experience. I’m also regularly working with Titanic Brewery (mainly around purchasing food and drink ) as well as occasionally working with other drinks businesses across the UK .
