Managing Examiner
• Oversees the establishment and execution of department goals and objectives to support achievement of the Bank’s strategic plan. Ensures staff understand, and remain focused on, department goals and objectives.• Recognizes when cultural shifts are necessary to achieve higher standards of performance and makes recommendations to department officer.• Provides leadership over a broad range of department functions through supervisory and other staff in accordance with the Bank’s strategic plan.• Review staff analyses and conclusions pertaining to financial institution examinations.• Co-Chair the Bank's Asset / Liability (Capital Markets) Committee responsible for assessing Market and Liquidity Risk levels, trends, and emerging issues for the Bank's portfolio of institutions.•Co-Chair the Federal Reserve System’s Market and Liquidity Risk Coordinator group: - Development of appropriate examiner resources. - On-going assessment of the scope and risk profiles of capital markets and treasury activities at the regional and community banking organizations under the Bank’s supervision. On a semi-annual basis, contribute to a Federal Reserve System assessment of risk issues for market, liquidity and investments risk stripes for the Community Banking Organization and Regional Banking Organization portfolios. - Liaison with Board of Governor staff, industry experts and, where appropriate, the district or regional office staff of the other banking agencies regarding supervisory issues, capital markets policy initiatives, policy interpretations, new instrument and market strategy developments, and other issues. - Provision of technical expertise on capital markets instruments, strategies and dissemination of Federal Reserve System policies to examiners. - Coordination with Board staff regarding supervisory approaches, examination findings, lessons learned, and other relevant supervisory matters.
