Have been surveying since 1994, graduated high school in 94 and went to work for Gullett & Assoc. From there i went into land surveying for 10 years. After that i went back into pipeline surveying for Universal Ensco Inc., Morris P. Hebert, All- Terrain surveying for midco services, and now with Gullett & Assoc., as survey party chief. I became a surveyor with the help of my father Nick Barrera helping him at the age of 13. I have been all over the united states surveying in the oil and gas industry and as far down in the Peninsula. Working on shore and off shore. My first land surveying job was with Terra surveying, and then Tri- Tech Engineering and Coastal bend land development. Then i went to work for the light company for four years as an instrument man and wanted to try new things so i moved on with Hi- Cad america where i learned three dimensional surveying for four years.Straight out of high school i took night courses for drafting and all day saturdays for autocad release 12 for six months. But never finished, would like to finish up when i have time.
