I work in the Natural Perils team inside IAG Re and currently focus on flood risk pricing and data management. I have detailed understanding of all aspects of flood insurance, from generating or sourcing accurate address level flood hazard data to what and how to solve potential issues in introducing flood insurance. Development of a national address level flood insurance pricing solution is complex. IAG starting offering flood cover nationally in 2012, I have been involved in IAG national flood project from 2010. I have in-depth understanding and experience in;• hydrological and hydraulic modeling; • flood data manipulation, management, quality analysis and unification; • GIS analysis and mapping; property attributes including correct address coordinates and building footprint; • flood claims analysis to understand vulnerability of a range of insurable assets; damage curve development; • risk pricing using depth and damage curves; • challenges in implementing and delivering large and complex technical natural peril pricing to a many internal clients;• reviewing risk assessments for individual addresses to understand the quality of the original assessment and provide a solution; • communication with many organisations regarding access to data including presentations; • understanding and negotiating licensing agreements for data; • managing contractors• training and educating staff on natural hazards
