I have been in the automotive field for 24 years. Out of a 2 year high school automotive program, I enrolled in another at Evergreen Valley College. During my 4 year tenure, I achieved Certificates of Specialization in the fields of Entry-level, Internal Engine Repair, Chassis and Drivetrain, Fuel and Electrical Systems, Advanced-Level Performance, and Certificates of Completion in The Basic Area Clean Air Car Course with OBD 2 and The Smog Check Program 2003 Update Courses. I am also a currently certified ASE Master Automotive Technician and L1 Advanced Level Engine Performance Specialist. I also have a current Virginia State Safety Inspectors license that I've renewed every few years since 2008. After moving from Gilroy, California to Norfolk, Virginia in 2005, I began working for Firestone Complete Auto Care. 3 years later, I became the Lead Technician. During my last year, I started teaching at Tidewater Tech Trades part time. I then went full time as an instructor in 2017. After a little under 2 years teaching, I went back to Firestone Complete Auto Care at another location as a Lead Technician.
