I led the strategy for BD’s Military recruiting and hiring.

As the BD SkillBridge Program I help transitioning active duty service members utilize DOD SkillBridge to find meaningful BD SkillBridge Fellowships that help them gain the industry and technical experience needed to find Full Time Employment (FTE) and prepare them for joining the civilian workforce. I work with all military ranks, and all branches to find the right fit within BD that will benefit the service member and BD.As the San Diego (MMS) Internship Program Manager I ensure meaningful project based summer internship opportunities are available for undergraduate, graduate, and PHD college students. The recruiting for student talent begins in October> interviewing begins in November> selection in done before January> and internships run from June to September.

As the BD Production System (BDPS) Site Steering Team Leader I:-Manage the roll out and implementation of the BDPS San Diego Medical Management Solutions (MMS) Operations system. 1 of 7 BD global pilot sites.-Increased the direct BDPS engagement from 36 BD employees (Feb19) to 115 BD employees (Aug19).-Manage the communication and success criteria of 6 core BDPS component teams (115 BD employees) that includes associates and management employees.-Help oversee 11 DMAIC production projects with an annual cost savings of $5m.-Developed, coordinated, and led 4 BDPS recognition events that included BD associates, professional staff, and management.-Redesigned the BD San Diego Tech Center production floor visual management. Directly increasing communication, employee engagement, and critical KPI/ Metric displays.-Restructured 6 BDPS Component Teams (Steering Team, Tiered Management System, Focus Improvement (Cost to Win), Continuous Skills Development, Safety Team, 5S Team) to ensure all employees daily work is aligned with Component Team work.-Sponsor for the Continuous Skills Development Team in which I: -Oversaw the restructure of the San Diego MMS On-boarding Program. -Contributed to the implementation and continued success of the BD San Diego MMS Lean Lite program which facilitates training to all (300) BD production employees in Lean principles, Accountability, Culture, and Feedback Techniques.

Provided senior leadership, management, and communication for multi-cultural employees and cross-functional teams. Role included extensive global travel for strengthening key US relationships and essential coordination with commanders from the US and partner nations. Position required understanding and ability to recognize important cultural differences in order to meet mutual objectives.• Delivered organizational objectives that required travel to 5 countries to establish, foster, and strengthen relationships essential to the US’s global partner nation strategy. • Responsible for managing 32 military projects nationally and globally, which required understanding of company training objectives, conducting risk analysis/ mitigation, identifying available assets, contingency planning, and extensive coordination with other companies, cultures and nations. • Managed all aspects of the training program budget, timeline, delivery, scope, quality, requirements, risks, presentations.• Attended daily sync-up meeting with senior management to give presentations, brief status of programs and personnel, answer questions and advise and discuss future objectives.• Conducted daily team meetings to identify roles and responsibilities for implementing training/ instruction tools, status updates, conflicts, roadblocks, new company objectives and to answer questions.• Led, supervised, trained, developed and mentored a team of 18 high functioning SEAL supervisors, resulting in 100% accountability of assets, promotions of 6 supervisors, 19 personal awards and 26 certificates to team members. • Successfully commanded 10 departments and over $13 million of company assets.• Presided over 9 successful, highly logistical off-site training trips, which required research, development, planning, coordinating, organization, and execution among multi-national and government organizations, totaling 18 months of traveling time and over 50 employees.

Responsible for developing training program and personnel, learning objectives, coordinating logistics, managing all aspects personnel development as well as implementing operational risk management and completing company objectives for training projects. • Achieved Master Training Specialist, designating expert status in training projects, organizational skills, curriculum, presentation development, and risk management.• Spearheaded the company priority project of the year, which was complex logistical high-risk live-fire training from San Diego to San Clemente Island. Success factors include research, organization, coordination and oversight of logistics, legalities, regulations and cost analysis.• Directed the execution of 125 high-risk maritime training projects. This required project development, operational risk management, multi-level organizational management, and coordination with multiple global organizations.• Air Operations Project Manager for the entire Maritime Operations training team.• Led a team of 13 high functioning SEAL instructors in training and preparing over 650 SEALs in critical maritime operational tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Led, managed and mentored eighteen SEAL employees within ten cross-functional departments. Responsible for managing all aspects of the project: budget, timeline, delivery, scope, quality, requirements, risks, and presentations. • Trained and mentored over 50 multi-cultural partner nation Special Operations Commandos.• Developed, organized, coordinated and managed 17 projects nationally and internationally.• Communicate project plan, status, risks and issues on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis to project team, stakeholders and executives.• Provided leadership and managed a 9 personnel cross-functional team to develop, coordinate, organize, and execute a 2-month Counter Narcotics-Terrorism exchange with the Lebanese Special Operations Forces in Lebanon. • Directed and supervised 3 exercises for 140 personnel and successfully managed $10 million of company equipment and assets.

Responsible for increasing the combat effectiveness and capabilities of the entire West Coast SEAL community. Additionally, monitored, tracked, and recorded key administrative details for 1,500 personnel.• Awarded ‘Senior Sailor of the Quarter’ from a group of 100+ military members.• Managed, led and mentored a team of 10 while overseeing 172 high risk air training operations, encompassing 3,117 helicopter casts, static line, and sky dive jumps.• As the only Air Operations Trainer in this organization, qualified eleven Sky Dive Jumpmasters, six helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques masters and 37 basic ropers as well as meticulously supervised 1,105 military sky dive jumps.• Graduated from US Navy High Risk Instructor School, designating expert status in organization learning objectives development, evaluating instructional materials, and counseling students on academic learning problems.

Led, managed and mentored 11 SEAL employees within 10 cross-functional departments. Responsible for managing all aspects of the project: budget, timeline, organization, delivery, scope, quality, requirements, risks, and presentations.• Trained and mentored over 105 African partner nation Special Operations Commandos.• Directed, supervised, organized, and coordinated logistics for a 2-month Subject Matter Expert Exchange Special Operation Forces in Uganda.• Delivered organizational objectives that required travel to 19 African countries to establish, foster, and strengthen relationships essential to the US’s global partner nation strategy. • Awarded ‘Senior Sailor of the Quarter’ from a group of 35 SEALs.

Responsible for increasing effectiveness of East Coast SEAL Teams by developing, coordinating, organizing and implementing complex, dynamic training scenarios for 650 SEALs. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in breaching tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP).

• Completed two direct combat 6-month deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom (OIF). These deployments consisted of counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) sniper operations, reconnaissance missions, direct action target assaults, host nation special operations integration and training.• Conducted 36 Direct Action (DA) missions in which I had 12 successful primary breaches and resulted in the capture/ kill of 20 High Value Insurgents (HVI).• Executed 16 sniper over watch/ counter IED missions resulting in the elimination of enemy combatives and an entire Al Qaeda IED cell.

Enlisted in the US Navy in September 1998, became a Fire Controlman (FC) until I joined Naval Special Warfare (NSW).
