Nick brings decades of campaign, comms, and leadership experience to Sunstone, including substantial climate work. He most recently built and led the communications team at the Green New Deal Network and comes to Sunstone by way of roles on House, gubernatorial, presidential, and other electoral campaigns, directing communications for Friends of the Earth, and a decade leading communications at MoveOn—helping grow the organization from a small team to the progressive powerhouse it is now and mobilizing its grassroots members as a cornerstone of the 2016-2021 Resistance movement. Nick has spent a career driving work at the center of our nation's politics and has extensive management experience, including helming MoveOn for four months as interim Executive Director during a 2019 transition. Nick is based in Washington D.C. where he lives with his husband Drew and their dog Renly.
