Chemical Line Operator
CurrentAdjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, feed, and flow of dry and liquid chemicals. Monitor gauges, recording instruments, and products to ensure that specified conditions are maintained. Inspect equipment to detect leaks and malfunctions and shut off equipment if necessary. Clean, assemble, and make minor repairs to machinery and equipment using hand tools. Draw samples of products at specified stages for analyses by lab. Retrieve, measure, and add raw materials to reaction tanks according to batch record. Communicate daily with line operators and engineers about goals and tasks. Record operational data on process manufacturing batch records. Operate forklift safely inside and outside production areas. Work in other buildings and on different lines according to company needs. Calibrate instruments to insure proper functionality and accurate data collection.
