I am a software engineer with several years of industry experience in embedded software programming for radio platforms. I have hands on experience designing and porting applications using Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy radio protocols, and I also have spent much time working on device drivers for hardware platforms that use these radio peripherals. I also have interests in high performance computing, especially as it relates to heterogeneous programming models; while my experience is in software, it is a big topic of interest to me to be able to leverage FPGAs as an accelerators to reduce processor loads without the complexity of writing in a hardware description language, and I have experience with supporting the OpenCL and OpenCPI software frameworks on our radio platforms.I use Linux extensively, and I swear by many of the methods and principles used by the community, but I do have plenty of appreciation for a good application GUI. I'm just usually not the person creating them.
