HUNT Class Propulsion Plant & Bow Thruster Upgrade is a programme of work to upgrade eight HM Naval Vessels over the next five years and involves working closely with a wider group of stakeholders including the MoD to ensure the final solution is fit-for-purpose, cost effective and delivered on time. Full responsibility for all aspects of the contract lye with the Project Management team including the design, testing, manufacture and acceptance testing of the upgraded systems. To ensure the end solution is acceptable the project management team ensures a close working relationship with the customer and relevant stakeholders are maintained at all times. This ethos is critical to the overall success of the project.Assistant project manager for the Ocean Patrol Vessel project supplying the Royal Navy with auxilliary and emergency power supplies. Full design, development, management and support documentation, manufacture and delivery.Lead project manager for repair solution being supplied to Carnival UK for the repair of the emergency generator set installed on the cruise liner Oriana. The project includes the installation of a 1000kW temporary generator set on to the top deck of the vessel using multiple third party contractors.

Receive, interpret and deliver quoted works to the customers’ expectations by completing the following processes•Review information supplied by sales department or produce quotations for customers after direct call to the service department.•Contact customer to make final detailed arrangements.•Assign the correct labour while ensuring development of less experienced engineers.•Maximise profitability by selecting most suitably located engineers if possible, selection of accommodation. Making sure the works are carried out efficiently by the engineers by ensuring the correct tooling, parts and consumable are made available as well as keeping 3rd party sub contractors aware of progress and delivery dates. •On completion of works ensure that all return parts and tooling is carried out efficiently.•Produce pro-forma invoice for review with sales department and customer before final billing to prevent customer disputes.•Produce a weekly SWIP list and monitor build of costs in SWIP, keep SWIP levels to the minimum level possible while keeping invoicing accurate.•Produce an accurate estimate of work value to be invoiced on a monthly occurrence.•Deal with customer dissatisfaction and complaints in a professional manner that will ensure customer loyalty and profitability for the company.•Carry out engineer tool and van audits.•Build a good working relationship with the engineers to ensure cooperation and respect between both parties.•Take command of situations and make a decision in the best interest of the company, customer and other parties that may be involved.

•Collect costing information relating to each product being manufactured including hours, materials, shipping, bought out items and material treatments.•Work alongside production planner and control work scheduling ensuring that all activities have been planned, including – manufacturing procedures, inspection and shipping to the client.•Plan production process for components using MRP system – Selecting and using suitable materials and machining processes and order of production. Progress parts through their respective production procedures working alongside workshop staff ensuring that all issues are resolved quickly and effectively.•Schedule and control work through the shop floor and quality department to maximise efficiency of work force•Manage sub contractors based in the UK and far-east. Pass technical information regarding production methods, drawing issues and materials. •Produce and maintain excel spread sheets to progress how the sub contractors and progressing with current orders placed on them yet to be delivered. Transfer data from spread sheet on to MRP system and schedule production and planning based on sub contractors information. •Writing of reports to feed back information to sub contractors in both quality, delivery times and how to improve certain areas of their finishing and manufacturing methods. •Arrange collections and deliveries of parts manufactured in the far-east to be delivered back to the UK•Ensure all parts are ordered and arrive at an acceptable time to ensure lean production.•Ensure production and delivery targets are achieved while maintaining high quality products.•Report all progress information to the production management multiple reporting methods
