After graduating from The Ohio State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, I went to work for a small Residential Architecture firm. Columbus-based Gary J. Alexander, Architect, is where I got my start in the Architectural Field. My main focus at the firm was field measuring, assisting in schematic design and design development, as well as completing construction documentation. After working for Gary for nearly 2 years, I left the practice in 2007.I joined Advanced Solutions, Inc. in March of 2007. ASI (now ImaginIt) was an Autodesk Channel Partner and Value Added Reseller. My main roles at ASI included the analysis of software solutions, the implementation of vertical base software solutions, and the troubleshooting of software problems. My specialty at ASI was vertical software solution implementations. I was involved in over 30 implementations of Revit Architecture at various-sized design firms throughout the Midwest. While implementing Revit Architecture, I was responsible for configuring templates, creating annotation and 3D content, adhering to CAD standards, installing software, and training and mentoring employees. After spending nearly 4 years at ASI, I left the channel and moved back to the architectural field.In November 2010, I took a position at Fanning Howey as a Solutions Specialist. My core responsibilities include Training and Implementation of Revit Architecture, Structure, and MEP as well as Navisworks Manage. My other duties included template maintenance, content creation, end-user support, R&D, model management, and mentoring. I left Fanning Howey in May of 2013.I accepted a position at Moody Nolan in May of 2013 as a BIM Manager. While a BIM Manager at Moody Nolan, I was responsible for all day-to-day BIM-related operations, training, mentoring, and a host of other non-BIM-related tasks such as SMART Board management, Intranet design & maintenance, R&D, and presentations. After spending 9 years in a BIM Management/Director role, in 2022 I transitioned to a Director of Design Technology role. This allowed me to focus on the prevalent trends happening in the industry while also growing a Design Technology Team at Moody Nolan and supporting company growth.Specialties: My specialties include implementing, training, and supporting Autodesk Vertical Solutions such as Revit, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360, and AutoCAD. In addition to Autodesk applications, I am proficient in KA Synthesis 5&6, Office 365, Bluebeam, and Clarity.
