Nick is a video games journalist with 10+ years of experience in managing gaming news outlets. This includes everything from building brands from scratch, community management, event creation and more. He also developed and ran a successful Kickstarter in 2017 to raise $22,000 to fund a number of gaming documentaries. In July 29 he became Editor-in-Chief of The Escapist, rebuilding the brand and its image from the ground-up, building an extensive content line-up with a talented team of video editors and presenters. On November 6 2023, Gamurs Group fired him for not "meeting expectations" set by the company which had provided the team unrealistic goals to reach. The same day, the entire video department of The Escapist was either fired or resigned and alongside Nick, we on to form Second Wind, an independent, employee-owned and fan-funded games media outlet.Currently the Editor-in-Chief of Second Wind.Graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in December 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Journalism. His skills include writing & editing, SEO, Wordpress management, community management and utilizing multiple different forms of social media to deliver content to a site's audience. Sold his original two gaming outlets, OnlySP and Gameumentary to Enthusiast Gaming to continue producing video game documentaries and other longform content on YouTube. In July of 2019, he became Editor-in-Chief of The Escapist to take the outlet in a new direction, fix its tarnished brand image and create new original content IPs.
