Manage and oversee masonry construction of various public works and private projects ranging in masonry value of up to five million dollars. Responsibilities include estimating for bidding and procurement of materials, generating submittals based on project specifications and material cost, development of shop drawings, RFI’s, identifying, creating and negotiating of change orders, reviewing of project progress to accurately prepare monthly payment requisitions, and oversee deliveries of materials. Facilitated, coordinated, and chaired field meetings with design teams and various trades to effectively resolve issues with drawings or existing conditions. Managed the lifecycles of all projects while ensuring safety, productivity, quality control, cost efficiency, and timeliness. Identified areas requiring improvement, made effective recommendations, and developed and implemented strategies to improve operations, and productivity.

Managed numerous personnel to address project requirements into a complete, organized, and coordinated set of construction drawings and specifications. Formulated and defined technical scope reports for New York City School Construction Authority, and prepared construction drawings based on findings. Additional projects included supermarkets, home improvement, retail buildings, and office buildings with scopes ranging from preliminary design, to capital improvements to existing buildings. Reported directly to Senior Partner while working in collaboration with internal Engineers to ensure accuracy and coordination of each project.

Achieved the company’s status of Associate earlier than the typical time required. Managed projects for New York State Education Department’s, and New York City School Construction Authority’s facilities which required capital improvements or additions. Led New York State Education Department building conditions assessments, and prepared reports which categorized each issue and provided a timeframe in which each issue would need to be resolved. Ensured compliance of contract documents through weekly site visits, meetings, and preparing punch lists so certificate of completion/occupancy could be obtained. Developed and coordinated marketing by the way of preparing presentations, developing company ads, and revamping the company brochure. Reported directly to Principals while working in collaboration with internal Engineers to accurately coordinate each project.
