The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for design, analysis, configuration and maintenance of complex systems software solutions, based on a thorough knowledge of systems engineering and programming concepts and techniques. Systems software engineering/programming is a specialized area of software engineering/programming focused on software that operates/controls computer hardware and provides a platform for running end user applications. Includes operating systems, device drivers, utilities, and software; development tools (e.g., assemblers, compilers, etc.). The Lead Systems Engineer works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities The Senior Site Reliability Engineer coordinates software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Ensures proper controls are established and maintained over test and production systems and software source code. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

• Act as a single point of contact for general IT questions or assistanceProvide support for trading and enterprise applications• Manage trader IPC/Turret infrastructure• Manage Phones, Printers, Video Conferencing, and Security Systems• Includes selection of technologies used, and monitoring of these systems• Analyze and recommend enterprise IT solutions for user facing technologies• Coordinate with other IT engineering teams to execute on service delivery (building windows desktop hosts, provisioning VPN connections, etc.)• Manage the internal office website• Jira Administrator (creating issues types, projects and workflows for all departments)
