Volunteered as a casework intern with a London-based welfare advice charity. Was most heavily involved with preparing and conducting appeals before the First Tier Tribunal, mostly against decisions relating to welfare benefits. This post also provided experience of representing clients' interests in negotiations with a range of public and private bodies, mostly relating to debt. Also gained experience advising clients on matters relating to a range of welfare benefits; housing problems; and debt issues.
