Our group includes Willis Street Physiotherapy, based in the heart of Wellington, and Wellington Sports Med, located at the scenic Ākau Tangi Indoor Stadium overlooking Evans Bay. We also operate The Physio Spot, an Ākina Certified Impact Enterprise providing high-quality physiotherapy services to underserved communities. Group services include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, ACC contract work (concussion, TI, workplace, pain, ICP), neurological rehabilitation services, Occupational Therapy, Aged Residential Care, Sports Medicine including High Performance, breathing retraining, community visits, sex and gender affirming physiotherapy. My passion is in leading operations that deliver exceptional care and champion equity within the health sector. With extensive operational leadership and governance experience, I bring strategic vision to every role. As a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors, I have served on the board of Willis Street Physiotherapy, a school board, and a professional body's Finance, Risk, and Audit Committee. I am eager to expand my governance career with organisations that share my values of innovation, equity, and community well-being.Over my 30+ years in practice, I have honed expertise in diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal injuries, with advanced skills in spinal manipulation, breathing and movement pattern retraining, and sex and gender-affirming physiotherapy. My approach integrates these competencies to help individuals achieve optimal function and quality of life.I am passionate about health innovation, injury prevention, and integrating physiotherapists more deeply into the health system. I advocate for physiotherapists to utilise their unique skills to create smarter, more efficient healthcare services. Exercise is a key intervention for many health challenges, and physiotherapists are essential in promoting active, healthy communities.I am also exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can improve outcomes for both kiritaki hauora (health consumers) and clinicians by providing personalised care, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, and optimising treatment pathways. I am interested in new models of collaboration between public and private sectors to create more integrated and equitable health services, focusing on innovative approaches that address systemic inequities and create meaningful impact.Ngā mihi
