As a Sr. Chemist in Product Research and Development I was responsible for a providing analytical testing support for early and late phase parenteral drug substance and product. The scope of my laboratory experience is centered around particulate matter in parenteral formulations. The analytical techniques that I have the most in-depth knowledge about include (but are not limited to) particulate matter by light obscuration, visual analysis, EP color and clarity, turbidity measurements, and microscopic methods of particulate matter analysis.These analytical activities provided data supporting product stability. Additional activities include method development, design of experiments, and transfer activities to manufacturing and 3rd parties. I am also a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and have led several DMAIC projects and participated in several Black Belt DMAIC and Kaizen projects.During my time as an analytical chemist I have been able to demonstrate the technical capability to understand and perform all required analytical assays, provide quality documentation, effectively communicate across functions and job levels, manage project deliverables, and deliver results to customers.

As an instrumentation specialist I was charged with providing instrumentation services such as calibration and qualification services in an cGMP environment for chromatography instrumentation, pH meters, and storage incubators/freezers. Execution of the instrument qualifications required understanding of cGMP and compliance practices as they related to the customer and their instrumentation needs. Other customer services included providing quality documentation, troubleshooting, technical training and consulting.Responsibilities included the ability to qualify and troubleshoot a variety of HPLC models such as AKTA, Shimadzu, Beckman, Waters, Hewlett Packard, and Perkin Elmer. Knowledge of instrumentation software such as GCDS, Empower, Chemstation, Chromeleon, Unicorn, Millenium, and Masslynx was also required.
