I joined the Oil & Gas industry right out of college. After spending six years in the field running MWD/LWD and RSS tools in US Land, I joined NOV ReedHycalog, where I was involved with knowledge and document management, product line support, and personnel training. Eventually, I decided to make a switch back to the field, broadening my knowledge of directional tools and learning more about the operations side within NOV. As a Field Optimization Engineer, I was running various memory drilling dynamics tools and real time drilling dynamics/MWD tools on wired pipe for over 6 years, making the difference for operators in the GOM, Bakken, Eagle Ford, and Permian projects. My post-NOV journey took me to a drilling contractor, giving me exposure to drilling automation and performance optimization from the driller's side, enabling me to show clients, how day-to-day operations can be further enhanced by thorough understanding of drilling challenges and proper applications of automation technologies.
