I’m founder of the Draughts competitive socialising hospitality platform and have successfully grown the brand for over 10 years. Whilst I’m a techie at heart, in an age dominated by smartphones, the Draughts concept offers customers a refreshing escape focused on social interaction and a little healthy competition. Our venues in Waterloo and Dalston offer a vast array of board games complemented by a full restaurant-quality menu which changes seasonally and a wide range of wine, beer, and cocktails, both classic and signature. The welcoming customer experience is completed by the exceptional service delivered by my awesome team. Our customer demographic ranges from friends and family get-togethers to corporate events with some of the world’s leading companies including Google, Porsche, Microsoft, BBC, and Wizards of the Coast, and everything in between. I’m obsessed with customer experience and invest heavily in training my team, giving them the freedom to bring their authentic self to work every day. My passion is creating and welcoming atmospheres that everyone enjoys, whether they’re a board game expert or complete beginner. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵…We’re self-funded and have seen year-on-year growth since we founded (apart from covid where survival was the name of the game). In the early years, I worked my day job for REPL (now Accenture) followed by a stint consulting, whilst pulling pints in our venues in the evening. Since 2017, I’ve been fully dedicated to Draughts. We’re expanding the Draughts brand, with plans to add additional venues in strategic locations across the UK and beyond in the coming years. Expansion will be organic to begin with followed by an investment round in 2025.
