I am entrepreneurial at heart, and I enjoy working with teams to solve problems and bring new ideas to fruition. I joined the NYC HHC Test and Trace DAP Team because I wanted to be of service in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have found it challenging but rewarding, both because of the work, but also because of the resourceful, motivated, collaborative people involved. The demands have been not unlike those presented by startups and political campaigns, which has allowed me to contribute effectively while learning tremendous amounts about public health work.I joined Heartwork because of the great core team which I knew I could make substantive contributions to in service of the growth of a small company working to carve a new model into an old industry, and I was part of the founding team that converted Even Farm from an early stage events production company into an event registration software and experiential marketing venture. During my time at Event Farm, I designed product features, provided client support, tested new features, conducted quality assurance testing, and managed other special projects that contributed to the company’s growth.I began my career in political campaigns because I wanted my work to have an impact on a wide variety of people. On campaigns, I pitched in wherever I was needed to ensure that constituents had elected representatives that wanted to make a positive impact on communities.I have a passion for designing and creating products and services, whether it is a new software feature or building a customized piece of furniture to fit an awkward space. I have experience identifying areas for improvement and coordinating cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. I am particularly skilled at focusing the curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm of teams to solve problems and work toward a common goal.
