I have been working in e-Learning for 20+ years, always on the development side of things. I provide consultancy to Capita Learning Experience and our clients on learning tech and oversee the technical aspects of projects.I have particular expertise in authoring tools such as Storyline, Rise, Evolve, Dominkow One, Elucidat and others and can design and provide training and capability building workshops in all of these, either to developers that are familiar with such tools, or to L&D teams that are completely new to creating digital learning.Other areas of knowledge include the platforms that companies use, or could use, to deploy digital learning to their staff. Traditionally these have been SCORM LMSs but more and more clients want to use the systems that their staff are already using, such as MS Teams or Workplace from Facebook to deliver the content.Building elearning that complies with Accessibility guidelines is also something that interests me. I have years of experience of doing this across a wide range of authoring tools with various assistive technology applications.

Head Of The Elearning Flash TeamEpic Performance Improvement Limited Apr 2004 - Apr 2011Brighton, United KingdomAs the leader of the Flash development team I was responsible for line managing, supporting and appraising the performance of all members of the team. When a new e-learning project came into production, I would assign a suitable Lead Developer from the team to oversee it and to take on the majority of the required development work. I would share projects between the Lead Developers and myself. In my role as Lead Developer I was directly responsible for ensuring that the projects I oversaw were feasible from a design and functionality point of view, that the correct tools were used to develop them, that the target platform could support the intended e-learning and that it could all be delivered within the number of developer days that the budget allowed. As the team leader I was also ultimately responsible for those Flash projects that I had assigned to others. As well as Flash development, I also have experience of tools such as Lectora, Captivate, Articulate and Flypaper. I have working knowledge of SCORM LMS intergration and Accessibilty support in elearning.
