Major responsibilities shift from team to team. As of this writing, I lead a team of 3 software engineers to update, upgrade and maintain 3 products: the Customer Resolution Tool, the Builder Portal, and the Inspector Portal. Since joining the team last year, we have made feature additions to all 3 products, converted the backend of Builder to python lambdas with typing (from node lambdas without typing), and severely upgraded the Builder frontend to comply with company-wide Community of Practice standards and best practices.My passions lie in demystifying solutions for new developers, and in keeping systems up-to-date, so that changes can be made as painlessly as possible. Adhering to standards and best practices are also very important to me, including but certainly not limited to: testing, structure, naming conventions, documentation, error handling patterns, etc.

Full-stack developer with varying levels of experience in various technologies. Most proficient with Java/Spring, Microsoft SQL Server, and Angular 10+, in that order, but have also programmed with NodeJS, Python, C#, and many more.Have also been a team lead for several teams since employment, interim scrum master on 2 occasions, and at Duke, helped to organize the Java User Group Community of Practice and keep it going, as well as got the Testing and Reliability Community of Practice off the ground and kept it going.

Was team lead for all 3 internal project teams. Passed my first contractor interview for a position for Unity with Duke Energy. Contracted with Duke energy from March 2017 until Duke converted me to a full-time employee in June 2018.At Duke, I was on 14 product teams in the first 12 months on contract at the Idea Lab, including a training simulator prototype for linemen, a handful of augmented reality (AR) iOS prototypes, a mixed reality (MR) holographic space planner with the Microsoft Hololens, and an internal boards web application based off of the public scrumblr application.
