About Nick Eplin
I have worked steadily in the specialty coffee industry since for nearly 10 years. Starting as a barista, I worked with a handful of cafes throughout WV as well as earned my barista certification through Octane Coffee in 2015. In 2017 I sought out more opportunity in the industry, and earned my Roaster certification through the Specialty Coffee Association. I then took that knowledge and experience and roasted independently for a year before earning my first roasting job, a work experience which eventually brought me to my current role of Head Roaster at Commonplace Coffee in Pittsburgh, PA. Now I am actively seeking more opportunity within the Specialty Coffee Industry in order to continue to climb the caffeinated ladder and pursue my passion.
