I have worked in a number of different roles since graduating from the University of Leeds with a degree in French. I worked for HSBC in Harrogate and York for 18 months, dealing with a huge range of customers and quickly becoming adept at using a variety of systems and working within all necessary financial regulations. I then completed a PGCE in Secondary French and German. Following a year involving two placements at schools around Leeds I joined a small languages department at Sedgefield Community College. During my six years at the school I embraced the major changes in curriculum and teaching standards that led to the school becoming one of the best in the North of England. I also oversaw a complete reorganisation of the languages curriculum in out department and led four trips abroad with students.Before moving abroad I worked for Pizza Express where I quickly became a key part of the kitchen team and regualrly ran a service with over 50 covers or as part of a team with over 100 covers.I moved to France in the summer of 2016 to establish a bed and breakfast business. After buying a property and renovating it over 6 months, I hosted and catered up to 8 guests at a time in my French village home. The business has run succesfully for five years with an increase in occupancy despite the constraints of the pandemic. The business has been closed in order to make room for my expanding family as I was hosting guests in part of my own home. I am now an independant real estate agent for Leggett International and help sell and find properties in and around the beautiful part of France I now call home.
