Douglas College is the largest degree-granting college in British Columbia. As part of the Athletics & Recreation department, I help execute the department's communication strategies and provide feedback/recommendations on strategy and tactics while leading a team of student assistants. I develop and write brand messaging for all communications and marketing initiatives and channels, in addition to being responsible for the visual execution of brand campaigns, ensuring all brand collateral (posters, templates, videos, signage, etc) are in alignment with brand guidelines. I am also responsible for helping to develop special event strategies, such as those for athletics championships and fundraisers.

As Commercial Content Editor, I was responsible for editing and writing commercial content, including sportsbook reviews, state-specific commercial content, and daily promo and bonus articles. I proofread and SEO copy-edited content to match the tone and clarity that our audience expects and trusts. I constantly monitored sportsbooks from across the US and Canada for updated bonuses and to ensure we comply with rules and regulations in various jurisdictions.

As Publishing Editor at Sportsbook Review, I edited, enhanced, and published written copy via the content management system to the digital platform. I also wrote headlines, teasers, and metadata and followed best SEO publishing practices while coordinating with staff and a network of contributors on delivering and publishing editorial content.

As a podcast host for the Nucks Misconduct network, I hosted a weekly Canucks show called Power Of The Towel. As the sole operator of the show, I was in charge of editing, producing, booking guests weekly, and creating social media content to be shared on all platforms.

I was in charge of a group of freelance contributors that work on photography, videography, and written features for BC Sports Hub. I also helped freelancers get in contact with people whose stories are important to the community we served, as well as continued to create various content pieces of my own.

My job expanded to photography and videography work as well — I helped film features on various high school programs, and edit game highlights for our YouTube channel. I also took photos of both basketball and football games as well, using those photos to create dynamic graphics for our social media presence and for thumbnails.

As co-host of the CJSF Sports Report on CJSF 90.1FM, I was part of a team that would put together a one hour weekly radio discussing all things SFU sports. I researched relevant information for the show and wrote a detailed script for all of the shows participants.
