I have enjoyed nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare code compliance, fire protection, and emergency management. Before joining Jensen Hughes, I served as the Fire Chief with the State of Connecticut, directly responsible for the protection of a vulnerable residential population with the CT Department of Developmental Services. Since joining Jensen Hughes I have been responsible for, and led teams across North America and the globe providing fire code compliance and emergency management services to healthcare. Our teams have partnered with regional and state Healthcare entities, Healthcare Systems, Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Long Term Care and across the healthcare continuum to help these organizations be safe, secure, and resilient. I know and understand the regulatory landscape of Life Safety compliance and Emergency Preparedness in healthcare and have conducted training sessions for the Joint Commission, AHCA (Florida), and other AHJs. I am currently the Chair of the NFPA 99 Technical Committee on Health Care Emergency Management and Security and a frequent speaker in local, regional, and national healthcare venues.
