Responsibilities include accountability for all aspects of project execution including layout engineering, budgets and cost, OEM/contractor management, equipment procurement, schedule management, customer interface and installation management.

Project Manager / Engineer responsible for supporting six independent ongoing projects at the Memphis Facility: Stage 1 Mill Completion, Stage 3 Exclusions, Mixer 0 Remediation, Super Sack, Carbon Bed, and Toluene Abatement. Engaged in multiple facets of the projects including: initial project scoping, budget forecasting, scheme design, Project Investiment Proposal initiation and justification, engineering design, installation, commissioning, equipment start-up, validation documentation, and project handover. Interfaced on a daily basis with GSK Project Management, production, engineering, and operations personnel as well as multiple outside contractors; validation, design and engineering teams. Procurement & Coordination of a cross-functional team consisting of up to 5 Barry-Wehmiller Design group engineers working on multiple projects throughout the site.

Project Engineer / Manager responsible for a Thermoformer line procurement, installation, qualification, and start-up. Assisting GSK Engineering team with all aspects of the project including: vendor analysis, justification, and communication. Scheduling, layout design, contractor scope of work and utilities support and assistance. Equipment logistics, site preparation, site install and start-up support. Engineering support through commissioning, IOQ, PQ and CR testing.

Validation Project Engineer responsible for identifying Critical Process Parameters across entire primary and secondary manufacturing area. Worked with manufacturing, maintenance, process engineering, production management, quality & validation teams to indentify and then define critical process & equipment parameters. Used various techniques to identify parameters including: process flow, failure mode analysis, design of experiment, and performance testing. Primary packaging required significant work within an Aseptic environment. Assisted site personnel in implementation of critical parameters into Batch records and SOPs following identification.

Project Manager / Owners Representative responsible for the site support during the Line 5 Tropicana 32oz bottle upgrade. Responsibilities included issue resolution, coordinating all shut-down activities, documenting and managing the punchlist, and coordinating post start-up continuous improvement.

Project Engineer working within a team to benchmark vial inspection standards and develop qualification standards for in-process inspectors to be implemented by Hospira Corporate across all facilities. Knapp Study based approach was used to develop benchmarking practices. Responsible for scheduling and managing inspection personnel to meet dynamic project team commitments and goals.

Project Engineer responsible for improving the efficiency, quality, and overall throughput of newly installed high speed powder lines. Worked with site technical / operations personnel, equipment vendors / OEMs, and corporate engineering team to improve average line OEEs. Developed approach which analyzed three critical paths to OEE improvement: Equipment deficiencies, production management and operational inefficiencies, and maintenance / continuous improvement opportunities.Performed systematic analysis of equipment effiencies, system integration, and downtime tracking. Worked directly with OEMs to implement immediate and continuous improvements which affect production quality and downtime.Reviewed operations procedures and training, identifying unnecessary operational downtime and training deficiencies throughout the lines. Developed and performed training and troubleshooting program for line operators – including individual troubleshooting manuals and hands-on training for critical equipment and systems.Identified gaps in the maintenance and continuous improvement plans at the site. Implemented operations driven method for indentifying potentially critical downtime issues, and assisted in the expedition of critical parts and services. Replaced or improved unreliable components and equipment with more robust systems.

Validation Project Engineer responsible for the management, development, and execution of commissioning and validation documentation for the new powder filling lines and facility. The project encompassed five packaging lines with staggered startup dates. Coordinated with the customer, outside contractors, and equipment suppliers to develop User Requirement Specification/Technical Specifications and execute FAT/SAT/IQ/OQ/PQ protocols. Worked with OEM equipment to determine recipe parameters, including critical process parameters, during product start-up. Manufacturing equipment included: Doser, Wrapper, Buffer, Cartoner, Labeler, Traypacker, Bander, and Casepacker.

Project Manager / Owners Representative responsible for the site support during the Belvedere Nut Crisp Production Line start-up. Responsibilities included issue resolution, coordinating all shut-down activities, documenting and managing the punchlist, and coordinating post start-up construction activities with plant production. Further tasks involved project documentation as well as tracking and resolving quality incidents following commissioning phase.

Electrical Project Engineer for Line Control and SCADA system implementation on Trexima packaging line. Responsibilities included design documentation, system checkout, and program debugging. Further tasks involve strict software code controls, thorough documentation validation, and comprehensive line start-up support.

Lead Electrical Engineer during procurement and integration phases for tablet line. Coordinated and scheduled electrical and mechanical work during integration phase, working with mechanical engineers and electrical technicians to meet preparation deadlines. Further tasks involved revising electrical schematics, programming line control systems, and resolving integration issues.

Project Manager for SCADA system infrastructure installs and network setup. Responsibilities included supervising electrical contractors on the install of LCD touch screens, marquee displays, and fiber optic switches; configuring switches, human interface devices, and central network server. Further tasks involve equipment and contractor personnel procurement, project coordination and scheduling.

Project Engineer for PBG Electrical Panel Hazard Classification and Arc Flash Awareness. Responsibilities included training electricians, maintenance technicians, and warehouse managers of electrical safety procedures and techniques. Further tasks involve project coordination, scheduling, and collaboration with PBG associates at multiple sites across the south east region.

Project Engineer for inhaled insulin packaging facility. Wrote and revised packaging process procedures and investigated quality incidents and wrote quality assurance reports. Worked with Validation and Process engineers to revise procedures in accordance with cGMP to reduce quality incidents while improving line productivity.

Electrical Project Engineer for panel design and control system design for tablet line. Line included high-speed filler, checkweigher, capper, retorquer, bundler, casepacker, and palletizer. Responsibilities included design documentation, in-process testing of equipment, code review, and system validation.
