After returning to retail, I became employed my Hunter Region Cash Converters. Showing a knack for negotiations, I became the head buyer for Cash Converters' retail superstore at Broadmeadow. Taking ownership over a difficult department, I was awarded '2018 Buys & Loans Champion' for earning my store over $192k profit in 8 months, with over 6900 deals personally handled by myself.

In 2013, I was approached by Gametraders to collaborate and execute a free monthly online magazine. We would be responsible for planning a monthly theme, and providing news, reviews, previews and feature articles.Since then we've found our footing with Gametraders Live, which provides readers with high quality articles focused on all manner of geek culture. Sticky Trigger and I were both featured on the front page of Twitch, as well as a number of features in the Newcastle Herald, NBN News, radio stations and more.Noticing a decline in the popularity of websites offering predominantly written content, I initiated a shift in Sticky Trigger's content to include smaller, more focused written reviews, as well as video features, including reviews, previews, opinion pieces, news roundups, discussions and more social-driven content. After writing game reviews, previews and events for AAG, I wanted to expand my responsibilities. An opportunity emerged to write for a new website, one which held the same ideals that I do: Always be enthusiastic and honest.Under the guidance of Owner/Editor-in-Chief John Elliot, I learned valuable skills such as proofreading, editing, website development, community management and public relations.

I began writing for All Age Gaming (allagegaming.com) after seeing an ad for an events specialist position. I attended a special Battlefield 3 preview event held by EA Games Australia at the Fake club in Sydney and wrote a stellar preview.I then began writing review and previews and continued to work for AAG for the next few months.

I sat for an interview about a storeman position when the topic of video games, anime and Asian films came up. During my time there I attended several game preview events for EA Games, Microsoft, Activision and more. I also worked with the Games team at JB Hi-Fi's head office to create and introduce JB Hi-Fi's "pre-loved" games system, my store being the trial store for selling second-hand games.I also came up with the idea of a Guitar Hero Tournament for the launch of Guitar Hero III, which was a huge success. After that event JB Hi-Fi began demoing the game in shopping centers and other promotional events.
