Implemented new designs allowing for intermediate casing removal and record well performances. Selected and negotiated $100+ million in rig contracts to meet rapid expansion from one to nine rigs.Realized a 13% increase annual improvement in feet per day (FPD). Captured cost efficiencies, realizing a 21% decrease in cost per foot over a three-year period.

Handled drilling and completion activities for up to four rigs operating in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle, managing an average annual operating budget of $300 million. Built Cleveland sands program from ground up, including establishing rig contracts, scheduling, and drilling and completion operations.Reviewed and implemented new completion technologies, including Tracer analysis, DFITs, and SPIDR analysis. Introduced and established a COMPASS database for well design and offset survey information.Led rig move optimization program, resulting in a 27% reduction in rig move times.

Oversaw daily operations for up to five rigs running in the Marcellus Shale, drilling more than 200 wells. Performed a 14-month field rotation, working from night company man to field superintendent in multiple basins in the United States.Established standard operating procedures for air drilling in the Marcellus.Engineered Chesapeake’s longest conventional well at 10,000+ lateral feet.
