Having started the business in 2007, I managed all aspects of training delivery, such as client care, bookings and scheduling, staff training, and curriculum development. I also managed the website, prepared financial and annual reports, and represented the business at events or media engagements.

I edited, project-managed, and wrote educational titles for major Oxford-based publishing houses, including Oxford University Press and Macmillan. My work included writing for DVD and online titles. Being freelance brought valuable experience in self-directed and self-motivated working.

I worked as a publisher on all aspects of editing, including project management, commissioning, managing freelancers, copy and content editing, proofreading, scheduling, and clearly briefing designers, photographers, audio producers, and artists. My publications included both educational textbooks (e.g. IELTS Masterclass) and academic titles (e.g. A History of English Language Teaching).
