Key achievements in my role at DevelopmentWA include being responsible for complex and significant mixed use and infrastructure development applications worth hundreds of millions of dollars each, implementing a Policy amendment consistent with the Government's Planning Reform program, and pioneering a consultative initiative between multiple stakeholders to improve development outcomes at prelodgement stage for significant development applications.Key experience and skills applicable to my role at DevelopmentWA are as follows:• Independent management of the full lifecycle (including referring, advertising, assessing, negotiating outcomes and reporting) of development and subdivision applications (including Residential, Industrial, Commercial, Retail and Community-based uses), Development Contribution Plan amendments, rescissions and administration, Structure Plans, Local Development Plans, road closures and working drawings (condition clearance) processes;• Building and maintaining strong relationships, including with applicants, landowners, developers and government agencies;• Interpretation and application of flexible and qualitative planning requirements to achieve high-quality and realistic planning and development outcomes; and• Providing planning advice to members of the public and applicants with varying levels of knowledge of planning processes.
