I am a lover of all things health and fitness and advocate for it every day. While I didn’t know teaching was the profession I wanted to pursuit from the get go, I have finally found my niche. While going to school in hopes of finding a path I would follow to my dream job, I always found myself coaching and volunteering my time in sports. At the same time I was able to continue exercising, something I learned from some of the most influential people in my life, my junior high school PE teachers who were also my coaches. I remember them always saying they had the best jobs in the world, and looking back at my time there and even as my brothers went through school there too, I realized they had created a culture where working out and taking care of your body was of high importance. So naturally, after many years in school, I decided to become a health and PE teacher, and it has been the best decision of my life. I pride myself on growing as a person and professional and always want to learn more. I am a lifelong learner and love meeting new people and learning all I can from them. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities I’ve had since teaching at Rainier Middle School and the people I have met along the way. I am thankful for the journey that has been placed before me. When I am not teaching you can usually find me on a baseball diamond either coaching or playing, in the corner of a wrestling mat coaching my wrestlers, in my yard working, or walking my dogs. I love to stay busy and have a little bit of a green thumb and appreciated all things that grow. I look forward to continuing to make new connections and growing both personally and professionally.
