As of May 2022, I have transitioned into the role of Cultural Community Programs Manager with the City of Fort Collins. In this role, I will work with Fort Collins community members and groups to co-create arts and culture installations, programs, and events. I look forward to updating on outcomes in the future. Prior to my current role, I spent the past eight years in the role of Active Modes Specialist with the City of Fort Collins. My principle focus was to create large-scale community events and design other programs that encourage the use of sustainable, active modes of transportation and working to influence the built environment to make bicycling, walking, and scootering safer and more comfortable. I have developed a vigor for pursuing a career in sustainability, as well as equitable public engagement and program design.I have developed skills as a project manager, including leading diverse teams and complex projects related to engagement, bike/ped infrastructure, and evaluation. I have coordinated large-scale events such as Bike to Work Days and Open Streets, and have participated in the coordination of events like the City of Fort Collins employee Pride events. I have led the coordination of efforts that that have led to the City's Platinum Bicycle Friendly Business designation (2017 and 2021), and supported efforts leading to Fort Collins' designation as a Platinum Bicycle Friendly Community (2017, 2021 pending) and safest mid-sized city for bicycling (2018, #2 in 2019). In 2021, I led the effort to seek grant funding and serve as project manager for Fort Collins' asphalt art program.
