My name is Nick Heiser, and I am a graphic designer from Birmingham, Alabama. I am a recent graduate from The University of Alabama where I majored in Sports Media and graduated with Summa Cum Laude (4.0 cumulative GPA) honors. I began my professional graphic design journey in 2021 when I started working as a Graphic Design Intern for Crimson Tide Productions, the multimedia component of The University of Alabama Athletic Department. At Crimson Tide Productions, I worked alongside some of the premier sports graphic designers in the country, learning new techniques and skills applicable to my design work. In my final year of college at Crimson Tide Productions, my levels of responsibility had substantially increased since my start, as I was privileged to have been allowed to independently work on design projects for numerous sports teams at The University of Alabama. I was also selected to the CTP Senior Leadership Team where I was in charge of various other interns and was assigned a considerable amount of design work.From June 2022 to February 2024, I was in charge of creating nearly all of the graphics (social media, print, web, etc.) for the professional soccer team Birmingham Legion FC. Along with graphics, I helped with content creation of all sorts including photography, videos, and a variety of responsibilities in-venue on a game day. While working for Legion FC, I participated in an exchange program through my university, leading me to live and study in England for the Fall of 2022 and Spring of 2023. During this time with a 6-hour time difference between England and Alabama, I still was in charge of all of the graphics produced by the team as I, nevertheless, completed all obligations for the club remotely and on time. Working with graphic design in the sports industry has allowed me to express my creative abilities as well as my passion for sports, and I hope to continue working in this industry with the utmost amount of enthusiasm and true dedication.
