I work for Pen Risk Managed as their Senior Underwriter attached to the London office writing all the New Business for this Region, encompassing Commercial Combined, Contractors and Property Owners risks.As background, I have been in Commercial Insurance since 1986, having worked for RSA, Independent, MRIB, Fusion, Arch and now Pen.Other than MRIB, I have always been in commercial underwriting and like to think I excel in writing New Business and have had particular success with this over the years. Not afraid of stretching targets and happy to work out solutions to fit the programme required. I have also been involved in the bigger renewals and broker development in previous roles. In the past I have also had managerial roles in terms of leading a team as Section Head and Deputy Regional Underwriting Manager, managing workflow, conducting appraisals and the like.
