As project engineer I am the main link between the project manager, the execution and the engineering. All the necessary technical disciplines involved in a project, will be translated into execution steps and a financial plan during the preparation phase. In many cases I am also the primary technical point of contact for the client.Responsibilities as project engineer includes schedule preparation, pre-planning and purchase (forecasting) for the project. For many projects I take the lead in communication, the financial forecasts and the setup of several project plans. "Cycle time reduction on testing line"As inventor and innovation leader with more than a billion product produced lambda sensors, Bosch is a leading original equipment manufacturer and trade supplier. I had the opportunity to become an intern at Bosch’s lambda sensor fabric nearby Stuttgart. The German and English language were spoken and written during the whole internship.As an intern at Bosch GmbH I have had both the experience of being a graduate in international industrial engineering, and participate in a production process analysis. To cut a long story short, I was working fulltime as production process engineer, in which I studied on a daily base if I could reduce production waste or improve the production efficiency. By communicating with the employees, analysing the production process statistics and collecting rejected products, I was able to map a few possible production bottlenecks. Together with my project supervisor I decided to perform an product process efficiency improvement initiative, in which I graduated in 2013.The successful improvement was performed on one of the sensor testing stations, by reducing the cycle time, resulting in a speed up production process. Dividing the testing costs over the amount of products that can be made per hour, you can imagine that the production costs compared to the production quantity, has become significant less. Although I recommended additional quality inspections to confirm and ensure the quality standard, I statistically have proven that the quality does not suffer from this adjustment. This achievement resulted in an outstandingly appreciation from Bosch and a beautiful result for my graduation.
