I've experienced various industries in my working life, after graduating from college with a business qualification, my first opportunity was to join an oil pollution control company specialising in 'mopping up' oil spillages and selling associated products and services, 13 years later and promotion to office manager, I was overseeing all aspects of the day to day running of the company, which including obtaining my NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety.These years of learning operational and compliance skills opened a door for a change in industry to sales within a timber manufacturing environment. My operations skills were quickly recognised and this followed 6 years of progression through to Operations Manager, overseeing commercial aspects, stock control, compliance, environmental control and product warranty.An unexpected change in job and industry then popped up to enter the world of agricultural sales. Managing a small team to promote techniques and sell revolutionary farming products from all over the world. This introduced me to international purchase forecasting, stock control and warehouse management, technical sales (end user and wholesale).Being a local lad, all through my life I've acknowledged and followed the successes of Kudos Blends, and in November 2017 an amazing opportunity arose to join the quality team. Since then my knowledge has expanded to encompass all aspects of food safety, including HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, allergen controls, food safety and food quality. But with my operational, compliance and health & safety focused background, my newest opportunity is to head up the health & safety team, and that's what's closest to my heart (other than my family)!
