Founded in 2007, The Independence Fund is committed to empowering our nation’s catastrophically wounded, injured, or ill Veterans to overcome physical, mental, and emotional wounds incurred in the line of duty. Through our Mobility, Caregiver, Advocacy, Casework, Operation RESILIENCY, Independence@Home and Family programs, The Independence Fund strives to bridge the gap of unmet needs for Veterans and their Caregivers.

· Developed and helped create the classified course curriculum for the DIA/OST’s program. · Organized live fire exercises, range scenarios and classroom instruction in accordance with the DIA/OST’s standard operating procedures.· Oversaw all range operations concerning advanced marksmanship, standard operating procedure development, room clearing, small unit operations, vehicle movement techniques (motorcade), and PSS formations as they pertain to the DIA/OST.

· Responsible for providing low and/or high-profile individual protection to US government personnel and designees at designated location overseas in hostile threat environments.· Responsible for the oversight and well-being of 35 Mobile Security Officers.· Provides strategic and tactical guidance and services while routinely conducting high-risk protective operations.· Provides protection to US government personnel in stationary facilities and during periods of vehicular or air travel.· Provides surveillance detection, route surveillance, and mission planning for all protective operation missions.· Responsible for the operation, qualification, and maintenance of multiple weapon systems while deployed.

· As a Tier 2 Unit, successfully completed 4 combat deployments and lead/participated in over 350 Special Operations Direct Action/Kill or Capture Combat Raids as part of a JSOC Task Force. · Developed and updated Ranger standard operating procedures in association with joint operations involving Tier 1 elements. · Liaison to Afghan Special Operations partner force. Planned and supervised partner force soldiers in their training and combat operations.· Involved in multiple joint operations involving Tier 1 Units in both training and combat environments. · Accountable for $350,000 of sensitive items issued to Ranger Squad and Fire Team as well as sensitive items issued to foreign national partner force. · Provided bi-weekly reports to the government of Afghanistan regarding the performance of the partner force troops as they become integrated into combat operations. · First line supervisor responsible for three Army Rangers during home station training, combat training, and combat operations.· Planned and successfully executed training events in Airborne Combat Operations, Live Fire Exercises, CQB, Demolition, and Advanced Marksmanship Techniques for Fire Team and Squad comprised of eight Army Rangers. · Counseled three subordinate Army Rangers bi-monthly in Performance and Professional Development.· Entrusted with Top Secret Military Security Clearance/Information
