Hello! My name is Dr. Nick L. Kavouklis, (a.k.a. “Dr. Nick”). I am a native Floridian born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. Following high school I attended Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biological Science. Upon graduating from FSU, I attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Dental School, which boasts not only the longest name in the nation but is also the first ever dental school in the country. There, I received my degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.)Following dental school I kept heading north…to the Big Apple to be precise. In New York I completed an optional, two year, general practice residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. At Lutheran Medical Center I took my education to the next level as I practiced and further learned all aspects of dentistry from Implantology and Oral Surgery to Endodontics and Periodontology. During my second year of residency I was named Chief Resident and again I was able to further my education as well as help the new residents get acclimated to New York and their residency program. During this period I had the opportunity to “moonlight” in a private practice until residency was over. In the summer of 2008, I decided it was time to return to Tampa Bay.I am currently living in Tampa and still continue to learn, not only from my father but also through continuing education courses. I have become certified in Oral Sedation and Invisalign and have taken high level classes at LVI to learn more about and become proficient in cosmetic dentistry. I strive to be the best dentist I can be for my patients and through these courses I can offer them the best up-to-date treatment.I look forward to many years in this profession and being able to grow and develop a sound and trusting relationship with my patients.
