During my time at URI, I have worked in multiple roles connected to my degree(s) at URI and outside of URI.At Electric Boat's Newport Engineering Office, I worked collaboratively with other interns and full-time staff on projects related to analyze and update coding libraries in C/C++. This taught me how to analyze code that was not developed by myself, in a scope that I may not have context for.At URI, I worked at the URI IT Service Desk for 4 years. From March 2019 to June 2020, I worked as a consultant with direct supervision from student and full-time supervisors assisting end users directly and indirectly in our ticketing infrastructure. After that time, I worked as a student supervisor, known as a Team Leader, from June 2020 to May 2021. In this time, I provided support for the consultants and created and executed projects with other Team Leaders. In May 2021 until May 2023, I was the Graduate Assistant at the Service Desk where I managed all student workers and worked as middle management to translate the needs of our full-time staff and URI departments to our students in order to find the best solution possible. On top of this, I managed and assisted all projects that were done and took on external projects from other departments in URI including their Security and Networking teams. After graduating, I retained a role at URI working for their URI Endpoint Security team where I gained valuable experience in managing endpoints through MDMs like Jamf and Intune. At Red Oak Sourcing, I have gotten to explore the admin side of IT. In a smaller environment with a team that is focused on working together and making decisions as a team, I have had more authorization and access to make changes in our environment and go through full implementations. Since I have been at Red Oak I have done work with GPOs and implementing features like LAPS, implementing Jamf and Jamf Protect, and I have evaluated anti-virus software and email security to use at an enterprise level and then carried out the implementation and migration of these products into our environment. On top of this, I have continued to gain experience with general IT, helping our co-workers with various tasks that come up from time to time.
