With seven years of experience in Mathematics education, specializing in Calculus and higher-level secondary teaching, I currently serve as Head of Mathematics and Year 9 Dean at one of New Zealand’s top-performing all-boys schools. I am passionate about building strong, trust-based relationships with both staff and students, grounded in high expectations for behavior and learning. I ask a lot from my students and staff because I ask a lot from myself. This approach creates a positive, achievement-driven learning environment where everyone is encouraged to strive for excellence.Academically, I have successfully taught Scholarship Calculus, led curriculum development, and streamlined school systems—enhancing assessment processes and tracking systems. My leadership extends to shaping marketing strategies and guiding our school’s teaching and learning culture.In addition to academics, I have spearheaded extracurricular and fundraising initiatives, such as organising a major school fair and an art auction, which raised substantial funds for arts, culture, and academics. As Assistant 1st XV Rugby Manager and Teacher in Charge of Climbing, I’ve fostered a balanced focus on academic achievement and holistic student development through sports and outdoor activities.
