In addition on the Fresno acquisition I mentored the development line technical leads in the Project Tech Lead role.2014Completed the Pierce County Acquisition and the final Retirement Plans Platform Consolidation (RPPC) Pierce County was a success both in bringing in the plan/participants but also in addressing several technical challenges and creating high satisfaction with the client and consultant. My ownership of the technical delivery and implementation planning, particularly in overcoming some late challenges which demonstrated Nationwide's On Your Side care for the participants, was instrumental to the project's success. CE #6 brought to close all of the plans and participants on our legacy system and made retirement of this application possible. Nick was recognized with an ECIO Bravo award for his significant contributions to many conversions throughout RPPC, but particularly CE #6 where he anchored the team that took on our most complex conversion in terms of features and multiplicity of source libraries.Nick collaborated with the architecture and database team members on several solutions, particularly correspondence refactoring and the design of a new legacy system historical archive, which has helped contain our operational costs. Nick also contributed to our IT Value thematic goal by finding savings in environment reductions.Participated as as a member of the Nationwide Financial IT Associate Advisory Group.
